E learning Online Training to Increase Web Skills
Over 10 million people of working age are not connected online, which is why business entrepreneur Martha Lane Fox has launched a campaign highlighting the benefit to business of getting online. Discover how e learning online training can help your business grow.
Launching Manifesto for a Networked Nation, the UK’s Digital Champion Lane Fox unveiled the Race Online 2012 aim to get millions using the internet by 2015.
"By getting more people online, everyone wins. Businesses are competing for more online customers. Government needs to deliver better for less. Charities want to support the people they serve better,” said Lane Fox, Lastminute.com co-founder.
“So we are calling on them to work together and tackle the unfairness and lost opportunities caused by digital exclusion, and deliver positive social change," Lane Fox said.
Part of the scheme’s three strands includes partnership with companies such as McDonalds, Microsoft and Google to help promote the benefits of getting online.
Prime Minister David Cameron in a statement on Monday said:
"In the internet age, we need to ensure that people aren't being left behind as more and more services and business move online.”
